I love these fun shots Gustavo captured of the guys at Mira Vista!

This may be one of my most favorite ceremony shots of all time. I think it’s because of the peaceful smile Kristen has at this moment – so beautiful.

I grin from ear to ear when I look at this image. So sweet.

The Mira Vista was such a warm, romantic, yet elegant location for the wedding. I think these two images show it off beautifully.

Kristen & Sean selected so many wonderful vendors to create their beautiful wedding. It was an honor to be a part of such a stellar team! This was the first time I have worked with Elisheva Basseri of A Bride’s Best Friend, and I just loved her calm, reassuring and graceful presence. The visual elements of the day were just beautiful – everyone did such a fantastic job!

Headlands Center for the Arts Wedding Photography | R + R | Wedding Album Design

When Rachel & Randy got married at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito last year, I remember how excited I was to immediately get to work on editing their images. I couldn’t wait to peek through them all, and I’ve been dying to put together an album of the day. And now here it is!

There were so many inspiring moments throughout the day. Not to mention a deer gracing our path as we took Rachel & Randy out for a few quick magic hour shots! The love these two have for one another, the setting at the Headlands Center for the Arts, the fun that surrounded them with their friends and family… it was really quite magical.

The gorgeous floral design at this wedding was created by Loop. And the catering provided by Katie Powers Catering was seriously wonderful! I think of myself as quite a foodie, but the quality of the vendor meal at a wedding I’m shooting is definitely the last thing on my mind. It’s a highly-focused day, and we just need a bit of protein and lots of water to recharge and get back to capturing gorgeous images. But every once in awhile, we are treated to the incredible talent and artistry of our peers. This was one of those days – a full plate in every sensory department!

Olympic Club Wedding Photography | Katie + John | San Francisco Wedding Photographer

Seriously, sometimes I can’t really believe how lucky I am. I have an amazing job. And the very best clients. Each year, as the last wedding of the season approaches, I’m a bit sad to see the season end, and at the same time excited for the families I shoot every holiday season, and the next upcoming season of weddings and babies. But seriously, who doesn’t like to go out with a bang? And Katie & John’s wedding was a perfect ending to a really beautiful and blessed wedding season!

It was a perfect San Francisco fall day — that “just right” temperature, clear skies and beautiful fall colors highlighted in the foliage. You honestly couldn’t have ordered a better day. And since Katie had a lot of family making the trek from the East Coast (including the pastor Katie grew up with who flew all the way out from Baltimore to officiate Katie & John’s wedding), that perfect weather felt just like a gift.

I love the warm, rich & vibrant color that Katie brought into the wedding decor, from the invitations to the beautiful bridesmaid’s dresses to the gorgeous floral design by John James. In fact, Katie & John’s wedding was a testament to great wedding vendors all around. Check out the list of wonderful resources at the end of this post.

Half Moon Bay Engagement Photography | Angie + Greg | Bay Area Wedding Photographer

I was so excited when Angie told me she had been scouting out locations for her engagement session and had stumbled across a rustic barn in Half Moon Bay. Taken with it, she asked the owner for permission for us to shoot there. It was a seriously fabulous and fun location to shoot! The colors of the sunburnt hills, the rustic wood of the barn and surrounding fence, perfectly meshed with the glowing, setting sun. It was so hard to narrow down my favorites!

After the sun dropped, we jumped back in Greg’s truck and headed to the coast so we could grab some beach shots and incorporate Greg’s surfboard. It was actually pretty dark when we started shooting, but just enough ambient light and my handy dandy video light to help pop the scene. I love the lavender and pink shades the lighting brought out in the sky.

I’m sooooooo looking forward to Angie & Greg’s wedding next year at Church of the Nativity and Family Farm. These two are so in love & so much fun to be around. I feel like I can’t take credit for the shots – they are just too easy to photograph!

1 Fort Mason Wedding Photography | Sara + Frederic | Part 1

I have so many images to share from Sara + Frederic’s gorgeous wedding! I was so honored to capture their wedding day, as well as their rehearsal dinner, and wow, just blown away by the beauty and love that surrounded them. Their loving families, friends, the incredible love they have for each other, the breathtaking setting of 1 Fort Mason in San Francisco, just made it such a pleasure to witness and capture it all. I just loved the colors of their wedding – and the gorgeous floral design of Kay Wolff. Catering & event planning for their beautiful wedding was executed flawlessly by Alicia of Global Gourmet Catering.

Meadowood Wedding Photography | Janel + Geoffrey | Napa Valley Wedding Photographer

Janel & Geoffrey had a beautiful, intimate wedding last month at gorgeous Meadowood in St. Helena, nestled in the hills of the Napa Valley. Surrounded by close friends and family, Janel & Geoffrey were married on the lovely croquet lawn at Meadowood, in a traditional Jewish ceremony. I’ve always loved the way that Jewish ceremonies reflect a deep sense of community and family. Because the ceremony has so many parts as well, it’s really lovely to photograph… so many touching moments! Below are just a few favorites from their wedding day.

The stunning floral design is the work of Pat Friday, of Friday Flowers.

Bimbo’s 365 Club Wedding Photography | {Kate & Mike, Wedding Album, Part 2}

Okay, so where we left off, the ceremony had just finished for the beautiful Kate & Mike… two star-crossed lovers… a match made in the heavens. You think I’m being overly dramatic. I get it! It sounds like it. But if you knew that these two had met on the back of a private bus on the way to a Def Leppard and Journey concert, only to fall head over heels for each other, you might just believe that hopeful happy endings are possible. And that is exactly what happens!!! Isn’t that lovely?!!

And in true style, these two finish their beautiful wedding ceremony, and head to an equally fun and rockin reception at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco. They even had their names in the marquee — that rocks!!!

Before we got to the reception, the wedding party bussed on over to Tosca’s in North Beach for some quick photos and a famous lovely Tosca coffee drink! Yum! This is a long favorite – end of date night – stop for my hubby and I, although I did not partake in the fun (of course!) during our stop (auto focus can only get you so far!).

St. Dominic’s Church Wedding Photography | {Kate & Mike Wedding Album, Part 1}

When Kate emailed me about this time last fall in search of the perfect wedding photographer fit, she had me at hello! Seriously, she is one of the most generous hearted people on the planet, and such a pleasure to be around! And then you just when you think it couldn’t get any better, you meet Mike. And not only does he adore her (which adds lots of points), but he is a perfect compliment to Kate. Goodness these two were written in the stars. Oh, and they love my photos! Which makes it all the more fun!!!

Even more fun, is that their love and beauty just radiate through the lens. And they picked spectacular venues for their wedding ceremony and reception.

I just finished designing a wedding album of their beautiful day, and here are some from their wedding ceremony location, the beautiful St. Dominic’s Church in San Francisco.
