As soon as I met Katie & David, I knew I was going to LOVE photographing their wedding. Before I even start to enumerate a long list… I have to mention that they were referred by David’s brother and his lovely wife April, when I photographed them expecting their first child & then his newborn & extended family portraits! Soooo sweet. Really folks, this is exactly why I started photographing in the first place. This whole story, and interconnectedness of family, is really what it’s all about for me. I can’t believe I’m so lucky to be a part of capturing this for families. It’s humbling and wonderful.

And even had I never had an inkling of David & Katie, they would have won me over from the first hint of their story. First of all… they met swing dancing… hello romantic!!! Which meant music & dancing was to play a big role in their wedding day… of course! AND they are only half-teasing when they say they are going to buy a tandem bike!!! It’s pretty impossible not to grin from ear to ear when spending time around these two. They are perfectly matched and so much fun to capture. Their wedding was gorgeous and heartfelt, and these two seriously WOWed with their first dance – incredible!!! I only hope the images do it justice!

Katie & David were married at the lovely St. Helena Catholic Church & their reception followed at the beautiful Charles Krug Winery Carriage House. Such gorgeous locations! Amy Thumhart of Thumhart Event Consulting, did a wonderful job of infusing the event with a warm, elegant & easy-going flow. The catering was both beautiful & delicious, and was provided by Elaine Bell Catering, and the floral design provided by Valley Flora was simply stunning. To top off the stellar list of vendors, Katie & David’s favorite band, Stompy Jones, delivered the incredible soundtrack for the evening.

Janel & Geoffrey had a beautiful, intimate wedding last month at gorgeous Meadowood in St. Helena, nestled in the hills of the Napa Valley.   Surrounded by close friends and family, Janel & Geoffrey were married on the lovely croquet lawn at Meadowood, in a traditional Jewish ceremony.  I’ve always loved the way that Jewish ceremonies reflect a deep sense of community and family.   Because the ceremony has so many parts as well, it’s really lovely to photograph… so many touching moments!  Below are just a few favorites from their wedding day.
