One of my favorite moments of Jen & Evan’s engagement session was sitting on the green at the Olympic Club Golf Course, chatting & waiting for the sun to drop so we could capture some of that beautiful end-of-day light. Admittedly, it was windy and freezing and by the time we finished, I think we all had numb extremities! But even despite the weather challenges, I couldn’t help but enjoy getting to know them both better & to just sit and observe them together. Jen & Evan have a deep connection and clearly love being in each other’s company. They make my job easy!!! I can’t wait to capture their wedding day this Fall in San Francisco!

Seriously, sometimes I can’t really believe how lucky I am. I have an amazing job. And the very best clients. Each year, as the last wedding of the season approaches, I’m a bit sad to see the season end, and at the same time excited for the families I shoot every holiday season, and the next upcoming season of weddings and babies. But seriously, who doesn’t like to go out with a bang? And Katie & John’s wedding was a perfect ending to a really beautiful and blessed wedding season!

It was a perfect San Francisco fall day — that “just right” temperature, clear skies and beautiful fall colors highlighted in the foliage. You honestly couldn’t have ordered a better day. And since Katie had a lot of family making the trek from the East Coast (including the pastor Katie grew up with who flew all the way out from Baltimore to officiate Katie & John’s wedding), that perfect weather felt just like a gift.

I love the warm, rich & vibrant color that Katie brought into the wedding decor, from the invitations to the beautiful bridesmaid’s dresses to the gorgeous floral design by John James. In fact, Katie & John’s wedding was a testament to great wedding vendors all around. Check out the list of wonderful resources at the end of this post.
