I was so excited to capture this session for Allison & Dustin. I photographed their wedding at Trentadue winery in 2009, and to be capturing their maternity and newborn session with their first child is really what it’s all about for me! I love being able to see the progression of each story I capture. I don’t know if it’s like this for everyone, but I’m always a bit sad when I finish a great book. By the time the book ends, I have gotten to know the characters, laughed and cried and cheered with them, and I’m never really ready to say goodbye. The stories I capture during a wedding day, feel much the same to me. So I am always thrilled when I am able to capture other moments in the lives of my clients. One of the most beautiful moments of course, is the welcoming of a child into their lives. These two are all about love and family, and they just glowed with joy and anticipation throughout our session, which matched the lovely, glowing light in this magical spot in Marin.
