Some things about photography are not always intuitive.  Like sunny skies.  Whenever I tell someone that photographing them in the direct sun is not super flattering, but that Northern California coastal fog is GORGEOUS for photos, I get the strangest looks.  I totally get it too.  Some things you just have to see to believe.
