Everybody wins! | East Bay Baby Fair Photo Booth Contest

WOW. And WOW again.

I had no idea that the photo contest would get this kind of response!!! The total number of votes was over 2,000!!!

So, these children are very loved. That is clear. The support they generated was just inspiring. So inspiring, that I’m expanding the winnings a bit, so that everyone wins!

You see, I’m the kind of mom that when my kids have birthday parties, I make sure no one “loses” at birthday games. When the kids run like mad to find the last chair in musical chairs, and suddenly they are “out,” that’s when they get a prize. I admit, it’s kind of confusing, because suddenly, it’s fun to get “out.” But for me, I guess I like that win or lose, it’s always fun to participate.

So, everyone who participated wins a free digital download of their favorite file from the photo booth! Yay!!! Tell your kids from me that there will always be a prize for them at my parties!!!

And now… drumroll please…

The winner of the free weekday photo session & 8×10 fine art canvas from their session is #27!!!

Because the voting was soooooo close all week with the top two, I’ve decided to also give a 2nd place prize to #14 for a free weekday mini-session!

And then 3rd place prizes go to all those who collected more than 50 votes, so congratulations to #37, #19, #23, #34 & #4! You’ve won a $50 gift certificate good towards any 2010 session!

Bao + James | St. Regis Hotel San Francisco Wedding | San Francisco Wedding Photographer

Bao & James’ wedding was the perfect mixture of elegance & sheer fun! With the St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco as the beautiful backdrop, one of the most gorgeous days of May weather to bolster it, and stunning floral & event design, there were lovely visual touches in every direction. That all said, what stood out for me, were the wonderful friends and family that came to celebrate with Bao & James. From serenades (see if you can spot James’ version of Alicia Keys’ “No One” in the slideshow!) to guest appearances by one very large penguin, to lots of silly photo booth pictures & some serious dance moves, there was so much love & laughter at their wedding!

Catherine + Matt | Presidio & Cavallo Point Engagement Session Photography

Just had to quickly share some favorites from Catherine & Matt’s engagement session! The day of their shoot, I scouted out some spots in the Presidio to try out – and they were game to explore as well!

The Presidio is so vast and full of gorgeous shooting opportunities, and I love how the light is so glowy and warm in these shots, a feeling that continued even as we crossed the Golden Gate to catch some vista shots from Cavallo Point. Right as we were finishing the session, the lights of the bridge went on – incredibly pretty. The warmth of the light was such a fitting match for the sweet love these two share. They’ll be getting married this September at Hans Fahden in Calistoga – I can’t wait!

Catherine & Matt, I had so much fun spending time with you both and can’t wait until your wedding day!

Another Happy Baby & Child Photo Contest! | Spring SF Birth & Baby Fair | Sunday, June 6th

Did you miss our Happy Baby & Child Photo Contest at the East Bay Baby Fair? Then head on over to our complimentary photo booth at the San Francisco Birth & Baby Fair tomorrow & strike a pose!

The Spring San Francisco Birth & Baby Fair is a terrific event for new, expectant parents & families! There are tons of wonderful local resources & companies that attend and offer great deals on products and services. There are also free workshops and $100 goodie bags for the first 150 families!

We’ll also be offering our complimentary photo booth again for another Happy Baby & Child Photo Contest! Bring your child by the booth for a quick picture & see them up on the blog in about two weeks to start the voting. Again, the child whose image receives the most votes will receive a free weekday portrait session and 8×10 fine art canvas gallery wrap, ready to hang & beautifully display.

Portrait sessions are 1-2 hours on-location in the Bay Area, with a goal of capturing beautiful storytelling images of your family. Happy Baby & Kid Photo Contest | East Bay Baby & Kid Fair | VOTE TODAY!

We had so much fun a few weeks back with our photo booth & contest at the East Bay Baby & Kid Fair, sponsored by Birthways. At the fair, we set up a simple background and light to photograph anyone interested in the Happy Baby & Kid Photo Contest. It was so much fun to meet all the beautiful kiddos & their families, and I photographed 40 children!!! The studio set-up very different than my typical portrait sessions, which I think of as more of a story-telling, lifestyle approach to portraiture, but this set-up worked perfectly for this particular venue and contest.

So now, the fun starts – let the voting begin!!!

Here is how it works:

1. Take a peek at the images below, select your favorite, note their # and cast your vote!

2. After you cast your vote, you’ll be able to see the current results of the voting.

3. Invite friends & family to vote as too!

4. Only one vote per person.

5. Voting ends at midnight on June 7, 2010.

6. The lucky winner will be announced June 8, 2010 on the blog.

The image with the MOST votes will win:

- 1-2 hour weekday lifestyle portrait session on-location (anywhere in SF Bay Area)
