San Francisco Presidio Engagement Session | Katie + Jeremy

Katie & Jeremy are getting married this July at the lovely Kohl Mansion! I’m super excited to photograph their wedding, especially since Katie was one of the bridesmaid’s at Katie & JL’s wedding! It’s sure to be another beautiful wedding, and it will be so much fun to see some of the same fun & friendly faces again.

For Katie & Jeremy’s engagement session, we shot in the beautiful Presidio. I had often driven by the gorgeous groves of trees right as the sun was peeking through the branches, wishing I had a couple to photograph. The late light in the Presidio is just magical & I was so excited when these two were up for shooting some of their engagement session there. The image below was exactly why I love this location! Afterwards, we headed out towards Crissy Field for some sweet images in the surrounding buildings and by the Golden Gate Bridge. See more faves below or in their slideshow. Check back later this summer for their wedding images!

Katie & Jeremy, I had such a great time hanging out with you both, and I’m so looking forward to capturing your wedding day next month!

Villa Montalvo Wedding | Nicole + John | Saratoga Wedding Photography

Nicole & John’s wedding at Villa Montalvo was full of timeless beauty – which is a perfect way to describe the sweet love these two have for one another. From the stunning vintage-inspired dress Nicole wore, to the framed family portraits on display of generations of marriages within Nicole & John’s families (400 years of marriage were displayed on that table – wow!), to a lovely soft pink palette of gorgeous floral arrangements, to inspired placecards designed by Nicole’s talented sister, so many personal touches that made their day so easy to connect to, and so much fun to photograph. Nicole & John, and their families, not only created an atmosphere that was beautiful to look at, they carefully thought out ways to make the evening incredibly fun for their guests: delicious food, an amazing band, even a super fun photo booth to encourage lots of great pictures with their guests. But as usual, words fail to capture the sweetness of this day. You’ll have to take a peek at some of the favorites below or view their slideshow for more:

San Francisco Newborn Photography | Welcome Xavier (aka Little Awesome)!

If you saw Michelle & Lucas’ maternity photography session, you’ll recognize this gorgeous family, with their new little son Xavier! I was so excited to meet him, and capture them all together as a family outside the womb! I loved how during their maternity session, I could imagine Michelle & Lucas as parents. They have so much love for each other, and they laugh so easily together. You can tell that not only will Xavier be treasured, but be surrounded by fun and giggles too! I can’t wait to see him at our next session!

Here are a few faves from his newborn photo shoot (he was so attentive & aware, we had to completely tucker him out before we could get this shot below)!

Michelle & Lucas, thank you for inviting me to capture this special time. I can’t wait to see your Little Awesome grow!

San Francisco Maternity Photography | Michelle + Lucas | Awaiting Little Awesome!

I was so excited when Michelle & Lucas decided to book a 3-session package for this year, to capture maternity, newborn and infant images of their upcoming arrival, or as they like to refer to as their “Little Awesome.” So sweet! We had such a fun time at their maternity session, mixing up a little classic black & white with some fun lifestyle images around their home.

Here are a few faves! They welcomed Little Awesome recently… you’ll have to peek back to see some sweet, sweet newborn images!

Noelle + Kevin | Portola Valley Presbyterian Church & Private Home Wedding

Noelle & Kevin are the kind of couple that love stories and love songs aspire to emulate: so sweet, so full of love, so right, so very meant to be. And they planned a wedding that perfectly reflected that love, their experiences together & their wonderful community of family & friends. Their wedding was truly a pleasure to capture, and incredibly inspiring.

They were married at the beautiful Valley Presbyterian Church, where Noelle had literally grown up. Her parents are both pastors at the church, and had been since she was two. Needless to say, there were may people who wanted to celebrate with Noelle & Kevin; it was standing room only during the ceremony! One of my favorite moments during the ceremony was the “laying on of hands.” The image of the entire congregation connecting to one another, to join in a blessing of Noelle & Kevin, was truly moving.

I also loved all of the personal touches that Noelle & Kevin brought to the reception, which was at the beautiful home of a family friend. Since Kevin had proposed to Noelle on their trip to Italy, they incorporated lots of Italian touches into the reception. The table were set up in a beautiful serpentine arrangement, perfect for a family style Italian dinner of hand-tossed pizzas, pastas and of course Italian wines! The place cards were actually designed as passports, and inside filled with Italian trivia questions. They were serenaded to “That’s Amore,” sung by Kevin’s best man and accompanied on mini-accordian by Kevin’s brother. Instead of cake, they sliced a cannoli for their dessert and served gelato as well. Mmmmm belissimo! Caterman did a lovely job of bringing this Italian feast together!

Oh, and did I mention that the passports, programs, bouquets and floral arrangements were all DIY?!! And they could not have been more perfect. You’ll have to peek at the slideshow and favorites below to see for yourself.

What a wonderful day – Kevin & Noelle, thank you SO much for inviting me to capture it!

Special thanks to Hannah & Justin for shooting with me!
