I loved this session with Stephanie & Steve! I loved that they are getting married at the beach but wanted to incorporate the beautiful Napa Valley into their engagement session. I loved how much they laugh together. I loved how easy it is to be with them & how fun they are to photograph! I loved their sweet dogs who loved them so much they couldn’t stand when we took pictures without them! I loved the beautiful locations we got to be in for the session: in St. Helena at the beautiful Harvest Inn and in Yountville at one of the best spots for gorgeous Fall colors.

I have SO loved working on Jen & Jesse’s images! First of all, they are the nicest, sweetest people to be around. LOVE that – it makes my job so easy!!! On top of that, the love they have for each other was the stuff of inspiration and it made it SO fun to photograph their day. SO many sweet moments and inspiration everywhere. Then you add into the mix that Trentadue is one of my most favorite locations for a wedding. From a photographic standpoint, the light is perfect and there are so many beautiful spots on the grounds to capture in images, it’s almost unreal.

Jen & Jesse also added a ton of personal touches to their decor and planning. I LOVED the purple color palette – the vibrancy was a perfect compliment to the greenery of the location. I loved how each of the bridesmaids had each selected a fabulous necklace to accent their dress, and Jen had 2 necklaces!!! She switched from a pretty, delicate necklace for the ceremony to another gorgeous piece for the reception. Other fun elements were the Table Card Trivia & Madlibs-like Marriage Advice at each table. It was fun to watch their guests filling these out as they were seated. Then who could forget the choreographed dance by the bridesmaids, followed by an equally awesome groomsmen dance!!! But perhaps my favorite detail was the mini-mini-checkered-Vans on Jen’s little nephew – too cute! And I adored the flower girl and ring bearer – such gorgeous sweet little faces!!! So much eye candy, you’ll understand if I had a hard time narrowing down the images to share. Here are just a few faves! And more of course in the slideshow – enjoy!

I so enjoyed my first meeting with Dana & Bassel, and I immediately knew that I would love photographing their wedding! Dana is so vibrant & full of life, and Bassel is thoughtful & kind, and it’s clear when spending time with them, that they are a perfect balance for one another. Capturing them together is just a pleasure, and I love how they arranged their wedding day so that they had both a first look, followed by a generous amount of time for photos of the two of them together. With Dana’s help and ideas, I had scouted out photo locations the week before, and we had so much fun hopping into a huge suburban and touring through St. Helena and Yountville to beautiful spots for photos. The wedding day goes so quickly, and I often suggest that couples make some time for a sunset walk, just so they get a little additional alone time together to take in the day and celebrate their new marriage. What I loved about Dana & Bassel’s wedding was that because they had carved out time for photos in the earlier part of their schedule, they not only got some great photos, but they spent a lot of their wedding day together! And we still had a beautiful sunset walk!

Meadowood is such a gorgeous location, and Pat Friday’s floral designs were stunningly beautiful. Better still, we had so much fun working with Justin Fone Productions! They are such a great team; professional, genuine and kind as well as extremely talented, it’s clear they really bring out the best in their clients. As soon as I met Katie & David, I knew I was going to LOVE photographing their wedding. Before I even start to enumerate a long list… I have to mention that they were referred by David’s brother and his lovely wife April, when I photographed them expecting their first child & then his newborn & extended family portraits! Soooo sweet. Really folks, this is exactly why I started photographing in the first place. This whole story, and interconnectedness of family, is really what it’s all about for me. I can’t believe I’m so lucky to be a part of capturing this for families. It’s humbling and wonderful.

And even had I never had an inkling of David & Katie, they would have won me over from the first hint of their story. First of all… they met swing dancing… hello romantic!!! Which meant music & dancing was to play a big role in their wedding day… of course! AND they are only half-teasing when they say they are going to buy a tandem bike!!! It’s pretty impossible not to grin from ear to ear when spending time around these two. They are perfectly matched and so much fun to capture. Their wedding was gorgeous and heartfelt, and these two seriously WOWed with their first dance – incredible!!! I only hope the images do it justice!

Katie & David were married at the lovely St. Helena Catholic Church & their reception followed at the beautiful Charles Krug Winery Carriage House. Such gorgeous locations! Amy Thumhart of Thumhart Event Consulting, did a wonderful job of infusing the event with a warm, elegant & easy-going flow. The catering was both beautiful & delicious, and was provided by Elaine Bell Catering, and the floral design provided by Valley Flora was simply stunning. To top off the stellar list of vendors, Katie & David’s favorite band, Stompy Jones, delivered the incredible soundtrack for the evening.

Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa was a perfect setting for Gabrielle & Anthony’s wedding. Surrounded by vineyards, with a gorgeous ceremony site & beautifully arranged reception area, it was a perfect space for a wedding that was just radiant with love. Spending time with Gabrielle & Anthony, it’s so clear that they both cherish and are cherished. It makes me smile just to think of it. And spending time at their wedding, you could see that their parents, siblings, family & friends had supported & fed the love these two have to give. It was beautiful and inspiring to be around. And so much fun to capture!!!

Lisa & Keith’s destination wedding in Sonoma County was simply beautiful. After looking at many, many venues during their wedding planning, they settled on the Homestead, a gorgeous & beautifully run private estate in Windsor, just outside of Healdsburg. With vineyards on all sides and stately oak trees to frame the beautiful grounds, it made for a perfect setting for Lisa & Keith’s summer garden wedding. The wedding party got ready at the eco-conscious & sustainable H2 Hotel in Healdsburg, and we had a lot of fun walking Lisa through the sweet little downtown for some fun photo ops.

Nana & Dave’s wedding was the full of inspiration. Beautiful locations, gorgeous details & an incredibly lovable & beloved couple. I’m such a fan of Nana & Dave. Just had to quickly share some favorites from Catherine & Matt’s engagement session! The day of their shoot, I scouted out some spots in the Presidio to try out – and they were game to explore as well!

The Presidio is so vast and full of gorgeous shooting opportunities, and I love how the light is so glowy and warm in these shots, a feeling that continued even as we crossed the Golden Gate to catch some vista shots from Cavallo Point. Right as we were finishing the session, the lights of the bridge went on – incredibly pretty. The warmth of the light was such a fitting match for the sweet love these two share. They’ll be getting married this September at Hans Fahden in Calistoga – I can’t wait!

Catherine & Matt, I had so much fun spending time with you both and can’t wait until your wedding day!

Nana & David are getting married this June at the lovely Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford this June. I really enjoyed getting to know them both better at our fun (but very windy!) engagement session in and around the Ferry Building a few weeks ago. Janel & Geoffrey had a beautiful, intimate wedding last month at gorgeous Meadowood in St. Helena, nestled in the hills of the Napa Valley.   Surrounded by close friends and family, Janel & Geoffrey were married on the lovely croquet lawn at Meadowood, in a traditional Jewish ceremony.  I’ve always loved the way that Jewish ceremonies reflect a deep sense of community and family.   Because the ceremony has so many parts as well, it’s really lovely to photograph… so many touching moments!  Below are just a few favorites from their wedding day.
