Erin & Adam were married at the beautiful Piedmont Community Hall, under a redwood grove. The setting was just breathtaking. And the way these two looked at one another throughout the ceremony just gave me goosebumps! So much love!!! They were also blessed with little sprinkles of rain during the ceremony, that eventually became enough to create a change in plans for the outdoor reception. Not everyone’s favorite change of plans, but what made it wonderful was how little it mattered to everyone. The family & friends that came to celebrate Erin & Adam’s wedding, truly came to celebrate these two joining together and to just plain celebrate!!! And not only that, but they even helped set up when the 30+ table umbrellas arrived to ease the transition of moving the set-up into the hall. I remember realizing at my own wedding how the people that were there to share the day with us were truly part of our extended home and community. I remember how good it felt. And at their wedding, I couldn’t help thinking of how lucky Erin & Adam are to have this wonderful community to surround and celebrate with them. Even if there hadn’t been a rainbow (and there was!!!), there was no denying it was a magical night. Oh, and the arrival of the Cupkate Truck of course helped extend that feeling. Who can deny the magic of a salted carmel chocolate cupcake?!!

I love referral weddings!!! It’s like a guarantee that the bride and groom are going to be fabulous, and the wedding will be tons of fun! Lesley & Needham’s wedding, referred by Alisa & Jonathan, was no exception! These two are so much fun, and their wedding was full of laughter, smiles, good food, beautiful details and a gorgeous setting.

The Brazilian Room in Tilden Park is so fun to shoot at, with the stunning natural beauty of Tilden Park’s vistas and cozy, welcoming wood & stone Brazilian Room with floor to ceiling windows that beautifully frame the trees and garden. And I loved all the vibrant pinks and soft greens that Lesley & Needham highlighted in their decor. Visually, the wedding had just the right amount of popping contrast and soft natural hues of the lush trees and wood lodge setting.

I was joined that day by the wonderful Cara Gardner & Cindy Chen for my photog team, and they both captured some gorgeous images!  Other wonderful vendors included Katherine of Culinary Excellence, Catering & Event/Floral Design, and the very fun band Larry Lynch & the Mob.  What an awesome day!
